014. The Young Ones

Why does this project matter to you?
Walking to save the world with Oxfam France. We are the Young One’s, the group of four, all under 18 (probably one of the youngest team) plus our favourite adolescent and expert in the subject ( 4 times doing it ) almost as old as all of us put together! On the 2nd of July 2022, we will be participating to a 100km trail walk to be done in less than 30 hours around Dieppe in Normandy with and for Oxfam France! Marcher pour changer le monde avec Oxfam France. Nous sommes The Young One’s, sûrement une des équipes les plus jeunes engagées sur cette épreuve, avec 3 membres de moins de 18 ans et notre ado préféré et expert en la matière (déjà 4 marches à son palmarès) de presque 3 fois notre âge. Objectif fondamental, lever autant que possible de fonds (pour Oxfam). Pourquoi ?

What is your goal?
For that, we need fundings. Why? The money is highlighted on getting the right support to African countries (by far less responsible for the climate change, and by the most unjust bad hazard, worse victims of this global trauma, along with the eskimos perhaps…). Help is sought for their sound adaptation and they’re right to develop without the means of fossil fuel. Their development is their own story, however, we feel a responsibility to help them not follow our path, but one that is right for them and for all of us. We want to take action and this felt like the right way. Helping us will not only mean we will participate in this adventure, but also be involved in today’s urgent change for the future! Notre but : promouvoir une plus grande justice sociale, dans les pays d’Afrique en particulier, leur venir en aide face au changement climatique (dont ils sont, de loin, les moins responsables mais, par malchance géographique, les premières victimes) et permettre un développement serein sans passer par les énergies fossiles. Nous voulons agir, et cela nous a semblé être un beau projet. En nous aidant, non seulement on pourra participer à cette aventure, mais nous serons également impliqués, donateur et marcheurs dans l'action ! Nous partagerons des photos tous les 10 kilomètres afin que tu puisses suivre notre progression avec grâce, joie et transpiration tout au long de la course. Ça sera dur, mais on va le faire!
