As many of you know, Fiona, Hester, Joss and Jo have formed a team and are training for the 60km Oxfam Wintertrail snowsnow event taking place in March in Portes du Soleil (spanning France and Switzerland).  It is the longest organised snowshoe event in the world, and we will be walking non-stop through the day and night to try and finish within 30 hours.....It is a fund-raising event for Oxfam, an international charity which focuses on alleviating global poverty and works in more than 90 countries around the world.  A cause close to the hearts of all our team members, who have lived in many countries, Oxfam is determined to change the world by mobilising the power of people to raise funds to fight injustice as well as providing immediate help in times of crisis.

As part of our commitment to the event, we have a fund-raising team target of €2,000 so we are asking our friends and family to support our efforts by sponsoring us as we train for this challenging feat.  Any amount you can spare would be hugely appreciated.  Please click on the above link to make a donation, which will go directly to Oxfam and be counted towards our target.  Over the coming weeks as we train, we will be logging our progress and updating our photos.

Wow-well done, before you even start! It should be a great incentive to the four of you that you have the second highest
donation amount all all the groups taking part!
Hope this keeps you going, as well as those yummy home made biscuits! Good luck!

Who is Oxfam France?

Oxfam is an international confederation of 19 organizations working together with partners and local communities in more than 90 countries. One person in three in the world lives in poverty. Oxfam is determined to change that world by mobilizing the power of people against poverty. Around the globe, Oxfam works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that affect them. In all we do, Oxfam works with partner organizations and alongside vulnerable women and men to end the injustices that cause poverty.
