4 Mutineers. 100km. 30h. Hundreds of training hours. Laughs. Tears. Sweat. Liters of wine on the finish line.

TrailWalker 2018, WTF ?

So it's a Trail. And we will Walk. As simple as that. It's only about walking basically. But a hundred kilometers. We decided we had nothing better to do and registered. 4 mutineers, looking forward to fresh air, painful legs and sore muscles. Under Oxfam's banneer, so that we can hold to a good cause in all that non-sense when we'll be dead-tired and asking ourselves why but why and who the hell started with this stupid idea. So we have a team, we now need to fundraise 1500 euros, put on our boots and start walking. As simple as that, we said.

The challenge is set for the 28th and 29th May 2018, in Burgundy. A nice fresh ramble for desperatly suffocating parisians.

You can check our itinerary here.

Mutinerie, WTF ?

The best coworking space in Paris (proof is, you can find trailers there). A space where you can work, take coffee breaks, sneak to the basement and get a nap, share lunches with colleagues instead of remaining a poor lonely freelancer, but also drink wine after a good day of work, get drunk and then commit to walking 100 kilometers. Wait. This is not exactly how it happened. Or maybe it is. Who remembers, anyway. (Please note that this is a joke. We were sober and discussed it over lunch. But that is a way more boring version.)

WTF, WTF ?

Because it is a badass expression, just like badass.

What do we need?

Your support, most of all ! First we need to reach 1500 euros in order to confirm our participation to the Trail. Once you'll have gotten us compelled to actually walk 100 kilometers, we'll need all the moral support you can get us !! Words of encouragement, sms during the trail, or even physical presence in Burgundy during that week-end, we welcome any sign that can give us the strength we need ! Thanks so much !!

The team

Denis

Denis is an industrial spy who loves challenges... : "100K, nobody told me:) It is not my daily trek to the office…however with some (A LOT) of training with our great team and all your support we will get there to celebrate (for that I’m trained)! Ready for the challenge!"

Marine

Marine is a pygmy and tropical forests coach with hyperactive legs... : "A 100 kilometer walk? Easy-peasy! What did you say? Untrained? Well, it's all a matter of point of view... At least I have some alpine training in my closet. Let's team up and go! Oh and by the way... don't forget the wine and cheese on the finish line. It's nice walking against poverty but it's not like I am walking for nothing."

Asselin

Asselin is a web aesthete, and he does not fear running 100 kilometers to fight inequality! : "In the end, what is it about, not more than 73x1,34km? Trekker, swimmer, rider... I only need to get up my office chair, put on some shoes (I do work barefooted), get on some shorts (hem...), and go! Look out, Poverty! The "trailers mutins" are after you!"

Manon

Manon is the last sailor of the Mutinerie ship... : "A hundred kilometers? It's 55 times less than Paris-Montreal, ain't scared! What better way to warm up for the few 9 984 670 km2 of Canada ! Let's meet on the finish line to celebrate both our arrival and a new beginning!"
